INTERVIEW WITH TYROLEAN MEP BARBARA THALER

(fd) The Landeck Chamber of Commerce visited our Organoid Head Office in Fließ together with the Tyrolean MEP Barbara Thaler. In the interview, we talked about sustainability and the related priorities in the European Parliament.

HOW DO YOU LIKE OUR NATURAL PRODUCTS?

Making a surface out of natural materials is not only very creative and innovative, but also sustainable. The demand for natural products is steadily increasing and is a good indication that people are thinking about life and the future of our planet. I like your products because they are innovative and you address a new niche.

WHICH NATURAL SURFACE IS YOUR FAVOURITE?

I was particularly impressed by the surfaces with coffee KAFEELEDER and local hay WILDSPITZE. The structure, the smell and the look convinced me as a coffee lover and native Tyrolean.

WE ADDRESS GREAT IMPORTANCE TO SUSTAINABILITY AND PRODUCE CLIMATE-NEUTRALLY HERE IN TYROL/AUSTRIA.
WHAT IS THE FOCUS OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT ON SUSTAINABILITY?

Last year, the European Parliament committed to the Green Deal and since then we have been working to implement this action plan for Europe. For me, this means a clear yes to climate protection, yes to waste prevention and yes to a better ecological footprint for Europe.

For me, however, this also means practicability, personal responsibility and a hand-in-hand approach by business and consumers, so that we can shape a practical transition phase. Sustainability can play an important role in securing our jobs, economic growth and prosperity in the future. However, this requires above all common sense and a sense of proportion.

WHAT DO YOU PARTICULARLY LIKE ABOUT OUR NATURAL SURFACES? WHAT ARE YOUR IMPRESSIONS?

When you close your eyes, the natural scent makes you feel like you are in a completely different place. It’s a great impression that I won’t forget

We wish you a lot of success for the implementation of the action plan for a more sustainable Tyrol and Europe.
